Reliable source from the Nigerian presidency had it that
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will under take
minor cabinet reshuffle, three months after the
appointment of cabinet ministers.
The Impulse Nigeria gathered that the current minister of
Information, Culture and Tourism; Alhaji Lai
Mohammed will be eased out due to complaints from
Senior members of All Progressive Congress (APC), and
members of President Buhari’s kitchen cabinet over what
they termed Lia’s unprofessional information
management.
Social media had singled Nigeria Information Manager for
constant attack and object of ridicule, as he is being daily
and widely dubbed as a liar , which is not good to the
image of the government locally and internationally.
Party members also are no more happy about the
classification of the government spokesman as a liar,
putting a lot of premium on the integrity of government.
The idea to move him to another ministry where his voice
will not be regularly heard is contemplated. Dr Kayode
Feyemi who is current minister of Solid Minerals is
speculated to take over the information ministry. He was
regarded in APC circles as being very suave, like able and
diplomatic person whose amiable nature is expected to
resonate with the public as well as the media.
