The twenty-year-old singer who will be twenty one this year creeped into our consciousness when he released his debut track “African Princess” under Mavin records. Korede Bello went further to garner more fans and specifically won the hearts of his female fan base with that famous wink when he delivered his verse on highly acclaimed “Dorobucci”.
Since then it’s been a forward and steady rise for the Jerry curled Afro singer. He is one lucky soul who gets to churn out hits just at the right time. And the results are always simply amazing. Korede Bello sets digital streaming goals for some of his industry colleagues, currently amassing over 60 million gross stream on YouTube excluding other platforms.
Now the time draws near for the lad to drop his debut album. Like it’s well known by now, the album is aptly titled “BELLOVED” a coinage from his surname Bello. There are a few reasons why you should be pumped up to receive his debut album.
No Perceived Pressure.
One very important reason why Korede’s Belloved album should be warmly received will be that it isn’t born out of pressure. Korede’s “Belloved” might definitely be better than Reekado Banks “Spotlight” because he isn’t under pressure to deliver based on any ascribed status. Belloved is probably going to be top notch because creativity will be allowed to take its full course on the album.
Korede Bello Has Hit Puberty In Music
From a certain perspective, Korede Bello has hit transformation and has gained mastery. After the release of comical “Mungo Park” and “Laye” which fall short of glory, Korede quickly got back his groove on “Do Like That” which turned out to be a cross border hit. Do Like That has witnessed Korede mature from a shy teenage sweetheart to a bad boy, something in the form of a Yoruba demon. His lyrics proof he is finding his rhythm and pace and overall what works for him. We expect to see more of that growth showcased in his debut album.
Mistakes On Spotlight Maybe Fixed On Belloved
Obviously, there were gray spots on Reekado’s “Spotlight” album, from an overly long track lineup to a few nonchalant production. If the management at Mavin Records indeed pay attention to criticism on “Spotlight” it is safe to say some misgivings will not be repeated on Korede’s Belloved album. Potential errors maybe as well prevented on the forthcoming LP.
Don Jazzy Doing The Most
It is very obvious Don Jazzy took a back seat when it came to producing “Spotlight”. Apparently, “Belloved” might have Don Jazzy put in his best into the album production. Altims and Baby Fresh will also bring their A game on this one.
There’s Something For Everybody
Korede Bello has personally assured fans that all expectations will be met on his debut album. Hence, it is expected that we will have music that will cut across all age groups, culture and class. Great news, that’s a good reason to anticipate the “Belloved” album. There will be a takeaway for everybody!
