Lionel Messi turned the air blue in a furious tirade at the referee during half-time of Barcelona’s 2-2 draw with Clasico rivals Real Madrid on Sunday, according to reports. The Catalans were reduced to 10 men shortly before the break after Sergi Roberto hit Marcelo in the face, and Messi was still raging at the decision when the players entered the tunnel to go to their respective dressing rooms. Real skipper Sergio Ramos had intimidated afterwards that he, and others, had witnessed Messi go to the referee, Alejandro Jose Hernandez Hernandez, and put pressure on him.
And Spanish radio station Onda Cero go one further, claiming that Messi went into a full rage, saying: ‘Enough with gifting them things. You s*** your pants, you s*** your pants. ‘You’re always like this. You s*** your pants. We won the league, that’s it. There’s no need for you to gift them the game. This is f****** bulls***!’ Onda Cero also say that the referee’s response to Messi’s tirade was to simply lower his head and say nothing before retreating to the referee’s room.
