Liverpool have entered the race to sign Brazilian star Malcom from Bordeaux, according to reports. Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all expressed interest in signing the 21-year-old forward in the past year. But Liverpool are looking to beat their Premier League rivals to a summer deal as Jurgen Klopp bids to bolster his attacking options.
The Reds are set for a top-four finish this season and could yet win the Champions League – they face Real Madrid in the final in Kiev later in the month. But Klopp knows further spending is necessary to keep up with Liverpool’s rivals and he has identified Malcom as a top target, according to the Daily Mail. Malcom, who has scored 21 goals in 94 appearances for Bordeaux since signing from Corinthians in 2016, is one of the most highly-rated players in Ligue 1.
