Inspired by the Femi Odugbemi – directed movie “Gidi Blues“, Banky W releases this amazing music video for “Gidi Love”, in defense of single people all over the world under pressure to get married asap.
In the clip, we see Banky playing multiple characters – prisoner and prosecutor – as he goes on trial for not settling down.
It’s hilarious and very impressive, as once again, Banky W proves that his creativity is on another level: he wrote and directed this video himself, while also playing more than one character.
The song was produced by EME in-house hitmaker TK, and the video was co-produced by Banky W‘s Pace Setter’s Agency (PSA) and NY based Scordio Productions.
The video also stars upcoming Nollywood actress Hauwa Allahbura as the leading lady, who also plays the lead role in the movie.
This is almost certainly a contender for video of the year.

Salome Music Worldwide is proud to unveil its first artiste, DNot, a talented rapper whose real name is Adekunle Toheeb Omadara.
DNOT who is also a gifted poet delivers his lyrics in free-flowing indigenous Yoruba language earning him the sobriquet Ibile from fans at Tai Solarin University of Education where he first amassed fame. The Ikorodu, Lagos born talent studied Music and Theatre Arts and graduated in 2010.
According the talented act, DNOT is a sobriquet for ‘The New Orientation’ and when he is not performing music, he teaches it to secondary school students in Lagos State under Maryland District.
His words, “music is my call and I enjoy teaching it. My students and I have won a couple of awards to show for this.”
The budding lyricist has also worked with artistes such as 9ice and Dj Jimmy Jatt among others. DNot has shot a music video which will begin promotion on major urbane music channels and satellite stations within and outside Nigeria.
He revealed, “I have heard people compare my rap with that of late Dagrin of blessed memory. There was one event where I came up before him at a show and the similarity in our delivery almost caused a clash. But after the performance, I met his manager Tunde Peters and we worked together“.
According to Ibrahim Saliu, CEO of Salome Music Worldwide, DNot is the next big thing to watch out for in the music industry.
Salome as the label boss is called recollects, “My meeting with DNot was nothing else but a divine arrangement. It was love at first sight and I fell in love with his infectious lyrics and the energy behind his music. I have no doubts that music fans will see what I saw in him.”
On plans by SMW for their prized asset, the label executive disclosed that focus is on creating conducive atmosphere for creativity to thrive. “For us, this is not about flashy cars and fancy buildings.
We are putting in place the right structures for our artiste’s creativity to thrive. SMW is a serious business organization that started as a movement when I was in school. Officially, we registered the record label in 2015.”

Six months after the release of “Face Off”, a collaborative album with Paybac, Boogey presents the “INCOGNITO” mixtape.
Incognito is his fifth body of work in the last four years. It is also his third body of work since he once again became an independent/unsigned artiste.
On this project, he portrays himself as an unfamiliar being (Messenger X) from an unknown place, with a message of truth and hope that is only understood by those who have been chosen. The MC merges fictional elements with his real life and career struggle, as the latter translates the former.
Incognito takes the listener on a mind trip that is rather dark and sometimes eerie, but completely honest. It expresses the feeling of being alienated in a world where one has never really belonged but still calls home.
The mixtape features a continual voice-over performance from Toyosi Kajogbola which helps hold the story together, guiding the listener through what may seem like a maze. The 12 track project also features Danny Gomez, Vemor, Tay, Lady Donli, Cat Mayel, Whykay, Bella, AT, Cyclone Artemis, Kel, Phlow, Maka and Zee.

Prolific songwriter, instrumentalist, singer and producer Mystro has just signed a worldwide deal with Sony ATV Africa who will represent him as a composer. This puts him in the same line up as some of the world’s biggest acts including Hugh Masekela, Osckido and Freshly Ground.
